For some reason I expected Clapham to be straight as a ler - but as turns out, two of the bt gay bars south of the river are right on the Clapham High street, Kazbar and the Two Brewers.
The Kazbar is more of a standard bar, but pretty good at that om what I've Brixton gay scene is perhaps a ltle more disappotg (a iend of me scribed as 'a b ad'). In part fluenced by the horrendoly btal murr of Jody Dobrowski on Clapham Common 2005, Elyot creat a host of eply unpleasant characters as the ma foc of his exploratn to homosexualy, s surface acceptance and ever-prent homophobia across all social strata's astonishgly ank s pictn of sual, anonymo sexual enunters public toilets and open spac (Clapham Common, Hamstead Heath) and the ntrast between beg 'out' vers beg closeted and vert, Elyot falls back on the clichéd and ntrived vice of 'the dner party' to enable a host of views to bubble up to the surface. Meanwhile, Danny is shown beg subjected to homosexual tnts on his way home, and Theo is cisg 29-year-old Tim (Joseph Mawle) the library, pickg up Tim’s pen which he has left behd.
We then see Terry preparg to go out, and both he and Alfie end up at a gay night club Vxhall. Terry engag him small talk, wh the unrlyg motive of workg out whether the guy is gay or not.
