The lens of “Bad Gays” through which they explore, discs, ntextualize, and discs “queer” history is clever but also pnt and sightful. Perhaps the others are different, but the hosts foundatnal argument seemed to be that beg gay (or at least a good gay) is not a physlogil fact about the genr directn of someone’s attractns, but rather a quasi-relig polil inty.

Gay people who ntue to hold even d nservative or relig views are heretics and blasphemers and a threat to the awokened creeds of what looks more like a queer relign everyday.
I wonr if eher of them know what is to grow up gay nservative or relig muni? How much more disadvantaged the gay people already are, and how many of them mata cultural ti and worldviews adjacent to the views they were brought up . The gay folks are not happy reprentativ of pluralism the queer muny to the hosts, but unbelievers to be nverted or else weeds to be pulled out.
‘BAD GAYS’ AND THE TWO PODSTERS WHO LOVE THEM
They were fundamentally cur about why Sullivan’s arguments uld be so persuasive, wrg off the near unanimo agreement he was able to achieve as obvly homophobic. Gay people like Sullivan, who embrace monogamy, marriage, pro-life polici, or the centraly of fay and child-rearg to a healthy society, are not wele. They aren’t even really gay.
