Okay is the first of s kd attempt by an Indian film-maker to touch upon and even base the ma plot on this 'homo-sexual' angle, a subject hidn the closet. Betifully shot Miami, and 's obv what a ground-breaker is for Indian film (hey, JUST beme legal to be gay there! )Y, there are gay stereotyp, but mostly 's gently done.
The edy was genue as well, not all stupid stuff about gay guys.
It has a pretty good storyle too, 2 guys pretend to be gay and how that one ltle actn snowballs and gets them to some suatns. Dostana is a lot of fun, specially the first half, all thanks to Abhishek's wonrful ic timg, and a brilliantly nceived "gay fantasy love story" between Abhishek and John.

But I was for a big started on a ual note, but wh a different "gay" ncept. Due to the limatns that no men are allowed to rent out the apartment, Sameer up wh an ia that both Kunal and himself pretend to be a gay uple.
While the gay uple ia is not monplace for Bollywood films, do share some siari wh a recent Hollywood film. But beyond two guys pretendg to be gay, Dostana do very ltle to differentiate self om the flock of romance films, and this has to be attributed to post-Interval which is slightly disappotg. The majory of the humour is based around the gay relatnship and what mak work so well is the actg.
RSIA NO 1 DARIA KASATKA OUT AS GAY
In one scene where both Sameer and Kunal vise a story on how they met, their attempts at actg gay are not exaggerated so as to mock, but done so bee of how both Sameer and Kunal thk gay people act. Two guys (Abhishek & John) sperately search of a hoe, ci to act as a gay uple when they see an apartment not to be missed.
Abikshek unexpectedly is havg all the fun posg a gay, wh all those add histrnics, he really giv a splendid performance, which rocks.
The viewers really enjoy them both posg as gays.
