But as far as I know, there's no diversy and cln office. As an HBCU, they jt never thought that they’d need one, but Howard is very diverse. Queer stunts, stunts om all over the world, stunts of different religns, stunts wh different fancial backgrounds — whout havg that office, I thk 's easier to overlook all the differenc wh Howard. He said that the anizatn wanted to know, and the answer would terme if I ma or not. It ma me upset bee at the time, nobody really knew about my sexual orientatn. He lerally elbowed me my cht and said, “I don’t fuck wh that sh.” That's when I stantly knew that this is my life now. Everyone knows [that I’m transgenr], and happened lerally overnight. After beg outed, was super difficult. I experienced physil asslt and people makg a mockery of me.</p><p>[My HBCU experience] was transformative. Beg the first trans woman on the homeg urt was a total honor. I fely held wh much pri. I was like, “You guys may not acknowledge me as beg an official homeg queen, but I'm a motherfuckg homeg queen.” The most affirmg moment for me was beg the print of [FSU’s queer anizatn] Spectm and wng Miss Spectm. For the first time my life, I felt like I was beg seen and heard. I had a platform and a voice.
