Moreover, that the show’s wrers and producers have actually tegrated Dex’s bisexualy to her character’s story — rather than merely g as a sellg pot, as seemed earlier the season when the only reference to her sexualy was an off-hand mentn of an “ex” whose pronoun she playfully rrects to <em>she</em> when someone wrongfully assum ’s a <em>he</em> — helps Dex stand out.</p><div data-attr-viewport-monor="le-recirc" class="le-recirc-wrapper le-recirc-observer-target-1 viewport-monor-anchor"></div><p>Still, a show n’t survive on the charisma of s lead alone, and luckily, <em>Stumptown</em> is round out by a pellg slate of supportg characters. The relatnship between the two is surprisgly ep, htg at a plited past that will surely be explaed further down the le. There is also Grey (<em>New Girl</em>’s Jake Johnson), a one night stand-cum-bt iend who owns a bar (hilarly named Bad Alibi) where Dex happily drks for ee while Ansel earns his livg as a server. Like Dex, Grey also has a disturbg backstory — volvg an 18-month prison sentence for a long-nng grand theft to scheme — and the show has an enjoyable time gradually teasg out s signifince to the season’s larger arc.</p><p>Jt a uple weeks ago, ABC <a data-offer-url=" class="external-lk" data-event-click="{"element":"ExternalLk","outgogURL":"" href=" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">gave a full-season orr</a> to <em>Stumptown</em>, as clear a sign as any that the still-nascent seri is fdg a dited enough dience to warrant more prime airtime.
