David Rudolph Ksler, who beme the first openly gay psychiatrist at UCSF's Langley Porter Psychiatric Hospal back the 1970s. Ksler wrote that he was spired by Harvey Milk to e out 1978 durg a Langley Porter Instute grand round, beg the first such openly gay faculty member on the mp.
Milk, the first gay man elected to office San Francis 1977, served 11 months on the Board of Supervisors before beg assassated by disgntled ex-supervisor Dan Whe on November 27, 1978.
