The only reason I was dly terted is bee I noticed Hanno Koffler, whom I had seen an earlier homosexual film I really enjoyed, Summer Storm. (I don't know what is but foreign gay films are always much better than Amerin on. Some okie-cutter gay problems ensue, but overall the films stands 's own knowg that needs to be more than "jt a gay film".

The story self is que passé pecially view of the progrs ma wh gay rights Europe and Germany particular. As a film buff myself and also as an dividual who has seen virtually every good film ma wh a gay plot, I n say this film stands at the very top, the hight peak, jt how betifully the story is told. Well nstcted scenar wh all gredients need to monstrate dangers of crossg the th l between gay and hetero.

In spe of an overload of stereotyp and cliché's, the film seems acceptable for gay and straight viewers alike. It may very well serve to show the th l between homo and hetero, beg two ways of life not so clear cut as most "normal" persons assume. First, we are far away om the ual set of stereotyp for a gay theme movie.

Do not expect the "feme gay guy", " touch wh his sensive si" or the pictg of a nveniently acceptable near-miss female guy here, the two ma actors are betifully mascule and the whole relatnship will make many unsettled.

And no no no - this was not about the "gay disease spreadg and rptg the straight guy" or "not realistic as takg place morn tim wh wi acceptance of gays".

We also have a feel this movie is brgg to the foreont a topic beyond a classic gay theme - Marc would have been jt fe ntug his relatn wh Kay and Betta and raise a fay if there were no prsur (perhaps aga choosg the least ristance), a very "untradnal" way to live and not so black-and-whe (homo / hetero) we are acctom to.
