Pri celebratns Vanuver kicked off as early as 1973, when the Gay Alliance Toward Equaly, often referred to as GATE, anized a special piic and art exhib Ceperley Park.
This inic event set the precence for Gay Pri Vanuver, and 1978, the cy celebrated s very first Pri Para. As a whole, Canada is an extremely LGBTQ-iendly untry, havg legalized gay marriage as far back as 2005.

Followg a day memoratn of the Stonewall Rts of 1969, LGBTQ lols gathered on Oxford Street at 10pm to march for equal regn, fight scrimatn agast LGBTQ people employment and hog, revoke anti-gay laws, and end police harassment.
