Over the years Dubl Gay Pri has grown om a one-day para to a full-on, ten-day extravaganza of social and cultural queer events. Followg the Stonewall Rts of 1969, the LGBTQ movement Dubl began to ga tractn durg the early 70s, wh Gay Pri often beg reprented each year the form of a piic Merrn Square. A ltle later 1974, the cy's very first low-sle march took place, ung 10 people who rallied om the Department of Jtice on Stephen’s Green to the Brish Embassy prott of the existg crimalizatn of homosexualy. Organized rponse to the release of several people who murred a gay man, Declan Flynn, roughly 900 rallied on the cy streets, marchg om Liberty Hall to Fairview Park.
