LOWELL (CBS) -- The arrt of 16-year-old Alexanr Gaye nnectn wh a adly fire Lowell was announced Sunday night. Middlex District Attorney Marian Ryan said on Thursday that police were searchg for Gaye.
Gaye is charged wh murr, arson of a dwellg, three unts of armed asslt to murr, jury to a firefighter, and timidatn of a wns.

Alexanr Gaye of Lowell was arrted around 3:20 p. Gaye and his -fendant, 20-year-old Julian Boyks, who was arrted Thursday, allegedly set a fire a Wtford Street apartment buildg on Feb. Gaye and Boyks face numero charg, cludg murr, arson, armed asslt, jury to a firefighter, and timidatn of a wns, acrdg to the statement.
Gaye is expected to be arraigned Monday morng Lowell District Court.

The Middlex District Attorney announced 20-year-old Julian Boyks and 16-year-old Alexanr Gaye of Lowell have been charged wh murr, arson, asslt to murr, timidatn of a wns and nspiracy. Police are still searchg for Alexanr Gaye. Middlex District Attorney Marian Ryan said surveillance vio shows Boyks and Gaye near the Wtford Street home the night of the fire.
"Subsequent vtigatn showed that Boyks and Gaye traveled to that apartment wh the tent to set fire and the method of settg that fire was by g a cigarette lighter applied to a trash bag, " Ryan said. Julian Boyks, a 20-year-old om Lowell, 16-year-old Alexanr Gaye, of Lowell, and Dracut 19-year-old Tanya Karadanis, have been charged nnectn wh the three-alarm blaze igned on Feb. Ryan said the State Fire Marshal’s office has termed that Boyks and Gaye allegedly ed a cigarette lighter to burn a trash bag before leavg ablaze the back hallway of the multiple-story buildg.

Ryan said officers are still actively searchg for Gaye, and anyone wh rmatn on his lotn is urged to ntact Lowell police. The charg follow accatns Boyks and 16-year-old Alexanr Gaye, also of Lowell, started the fire at 98 Wtford St. Police rema on the lookout for Gaye, Middlex District Attorney spokwoman Marcela Dwork said late Friday afternoon.
