Lexgton, KY – April 13, 2023 – The Lexgton Counter Clocks announced today a new annual scholarship program signed to honor the memory of Try Gay, the 15-year-old Lafayette High School stunt who was killed by gunfire Lexgton 2016. Begng the sprg of 2024, the Try Gay Scholarship will be award annually to one high school stunt their Senr year at a Fayette County Public high school or program.
“Through the Try Gay Scholarship Program, we hope to draw attentn to the horrific impact gun vlence has on our muni – and to help make a posive impact on the liv of promisg young stunts.
Try’s parents, Shoshana Boyd and Olympic medalist Tyson Gay, have offered their support of the Try Gay Scholarship Program.
