In the early 1970s, The De of Wellgton Argyle Street was one of the first pubs that was taken over by Glasgow’s LGBT+ muny, wh the Waterloo Bar next door also havg a reputatn of beg both gay (and prostute) iendly. The Court Bar on Hutchon Street (which shut 2015) would "turn gay" at 8pm om the mid 1980s onwards, wherpon is said that not only the staff changed, but an alternative and higher price list was fetched om unr the unter and affixed to the wall.
