His parents, Harvey Rsell Ford and Naomi Hallie Ford left Oklahoma when Gayle was four months old to ri on a small farm Adna, Washgton then they moved to Chehalis, Washgton. Gayle shared his childhood wh his two younger brothers, Jack Ford now of Silverdale, Washgton and Harold Ford of Frerick, Maryland who has preced him ath. Gayle graduated om Chehalis High School 1955 and enjoyed playg his ench horn the high school band and durg church servic.

After Ella passed away om ncer 1989, Gayle married Cynthia Ldgren 1991, whom he met while attendg Wtwood Baptist Church Olympia, Washgton. Gayle worked several jobs throughout his lifetime startg wh havg a paper route when he was younger. Gayle loved the outdoors and pecially hikg and kayakg.

Gayle loved the Lord and wanted to serve him at the Napave Baptist Church as well as Fah Baptist Church Chehalis, Washgton. Gayle enjoyed visg wh his grandchildren: Caleb, Mackenzie, Riley, Hunter, Kendall, Cameron and Meghan. Gayle never plaed durg his illns of diabet, three mi-strok and lon and liver ncer.
