Some highlights of materials clud the project are visually stunng posters and signs created by ACT UP durg the 1980s; inic posters created for the “Gay-Ins” anized by the Gay Liberatn Front durg the 1970s as well as early pri celebratns; signs om the historic march on Washgton; and some of the earlit signs created for monstratns anized by 1950s-era homophile anizatns like the Mattache Society.

Not jt for the straight, male, whe, ” prted on the Sylvter prt is jt one of the many posters featured ONE Archiv Foundatn’s new web-based exhibn Days of Rage, a curated archive of posters and smaller Xeroxed flyers spanng the early gay liberatn movements of the 1970s to the safer sex public tn mpaigns of the mid-1990s.

Dpe their llective expertise, the curatorial team didn’t simply cull om ONE Natnal Gay and Lbian Archiv’ recently digized llectn of over 4200 posters. For example, Tracy’s ssn wh Daniel Hyo Kim, they look at a poster that was tied to the Briggs Iniative [a 1978 ballot iative seekg to ban anyone who had engaged “public homosexual activy” or “public homosexual nduct” om workg California public schools]. We’re back here aga wh the trans bills that are proliferatg all over the natn and the “Don’t Say Gay” bills mandatg what n and nnot be said the classroom.
