I reced nearly all terviewe virtually, 2014 and 2015, through profil on var onle platforms primarily for gay men, on which I prented myself as a rearcher seekg to speak to anyone about gay life the 1960s–80s. The major benef of onle recment was that I was able to ntact var men om across the Netherlands and Denmark—not jt those the pals, or iends-of-iends through the snowball method—and that I uld do so while livg major downsi of recg rmants om the platforms was that I limed myself primarily to gay and bisexual men.
