However, limed rearch has been nducted to intify the factors which ntribute to evaluated risk for poor mental health among olr Asian Amerins who intify as LGBT. The purpose of this study was to terme the perspectiv of lears of muny-based anizatns about the mental health needs and ncerns of their LGBT nstuents om diverse Asian backgrounds. Semi-stctured qualative terviews were nducted wh lears of muny-based anizatns servg the needs of LGBT dividuals. A qualative amework analysis approach was ed to intify, analyze and report them wh the data. 11 members of muny anizatns loted California (54.5%), Chigo (27.2%), and New York (18.1%) were terviewed. Chronic strs was intified as negatively impactg nstuents’ liv and was attributed to social termants of health, cludg aquate hog, fancial secury, discrimatn, barriers to aquate health re, and immigratn stat. Ageism, social isolatn, language barriers, and limed nnectns to cultural, relig, or LGBT muni were intified as factors impactg middle-aged and olr adults. Participants intified homelsns, vlence, and lack of parental acceptance as ntributg to distrs among youth and younger adults. The most vulnerable muny members were intified as genr mori, undocumented dividuals, and dividuals wh limed English proficienci. Organizatnal lears scribed strategi to addrs social termants. Asian Amerins who are LGBT are nonted wh substantial risks for poor mental health that are lked to modifiable social termants of health. Organizatns servg the populatns play a val role meetg the needs of a highly unrserved populatn.
