PALM SPRINGS – After voluntarily whdrawg om NAGAAA three years ago to avoid a hefty fe, the Palm Sprgs Gay softball league is lookg to return to the fold.

In 2009, as the natn was the throws of the worst recsn sce the Great Deprsn, the Palm Sprgs Gay Softball League, or PSGSL, did not have enough players to field a team at the Gay Softball World Seri, which is put on annually by the North Amerin Gay Amatr Athletic Alliance, or NAGAAA. Last year NAGAAA snagged natnal headl when the anizatn reached an out-of-urt settlement wh three bisexual male players om San Francis who were disqualified om the 2008 World Seri Seattle bee they weren’t gay enough.

The San Francis team had placed send the tourney and their w was nullified bee had exceed the number of non-gay players. NAGAAA’s bylaws lim teams to two non-gay players.

District Judge, John Coughenour, led the anizatn has the right to lim the number of straight players as much as the Boy Suts have a nstutnal right to exclu gays. While a member of NAGAAA, the Palm Sprgs league’s waiver asked players whether they intified as gay or straight.
