Ever dited, the heart of Gay ntu through the memori she leav behd. Gay's story began at a time when the wele end of World War II ntued to brg prospery to Ameri well to the late 1940s.

Yet ntled the small Virgia town of Gndy, Kelly and Vergie Runyon anticipated the birth of a new child and on May 17, 1949 they lovgly weled Gay to their hearts.

The fifth of eventually ne girls their btlg hoehold, Gay attend the area schools where she excelled her studi. Gay served as a cheerlear high school and was a straight A stunt before graduatg om Gndy High School. Gay went on to further her tn.

From her earlit years, Gay had a love for learng which never waned.

While llege, Gay ntued as a cheerlear. Like kdred spirs, Gay and Butch shared much mon and enjoyed many of the same thgs.

After movg to Kalamazoo and while workg on her Masters gree Edutn om WMU, Gay worked for the Kalamazoo Public School system. Throughout this time, children of her own me to be a prry Gay's life. Ever lovg, Gay was an attentive and volved mother.

Gay and her fay ually ma an annual trip to Cedar Pot which was enjoyed by all. Along wh workg outsi the home, Gay also managed to make a good home for her fay. Gay loved hostg Christmas each year their home and enjoyed ratg for the holidays.

Gay immersed herself when teachg.

It brought Gay much joy nng to kids om school. Everyone who was fortunate to have had Gay as a teacher me to appreciate and like math bee of her.

One n only dream of makg such a difference the liv of youth, and Gay did so exceedgly well. When me to fashn, Gay was que stylish. Butch didn't re much for the mall, but often went wh Gay jt the same, and she shopped them all!

ANA (GAY) DIXON

Gay loved readg novels of all genr. Even though he never ate them, Butch loved nctg new recip to fulfill Gay's sweet tooth. And every morng, Gay uld often be found relaxg wh a good cup of ffee, or two.

BONNIE GAY DIXON OBUARY

Gay relished time spent her flower garns, and enjoyed art fairs, pecially those Ann Arbor. Gay and Butch loved the sos.

After Gay was diagnosed wh a very rare blood ncer, she spent the followg two years travelg between Kalamazoo, Ann Arbor and the Universy of Chigo. Throughout her illns, Gay remaed urageo and strong.

A woman of character, Gay was tly one of a kd.
