Rose Cy Gay Freedom Bands. Sce formg 1990, the Rose Cy Gay Freedom Bands has been a place for LGBTQ micians and iends to play, perform, and participate Portland's mil muny. Today, RCGFB is prised of the Portland Gay Symphonic Band (a 58 member symphonic wd ensemble), Rose Cy Swg (a sixteen-piece swg band), the Portland Pri Band (a 70+ marchg/pep band and luard), and several smaller performg groups.
The Portland Lbian and Gay Communy Band began 1982, survived the 1980’s, and transned to The Rose Cy Gay Freedom Band 1990 when the band earned s non-prof stat and beme a member of LGBA.
Portland Gay Symphonic Band performs a variety of mil styl rangg om classil to ntemporary and popular mic. PGSB produc at least four ncerts per year and has llaborated ncerts wh the Portland Gay Men’s Chos, Portland Lbian Choir, Seattle Rabow Cy Band, and the Rabow Concert Band of Vanuver, BC, as well as numero muny events and yearly participatn the Oregon Adult Band Ftival.
