Last Friday night, when London’s clubs were closed and the streets motnls, a DJ lled Harry Gay set up a turntable and opened up Zoom on his laptop. Addrsg his webm, Gay live-streamed a night of queer bops, hoe bangers and techno clangers to more than 1, 000 people around the world. Like any good host, Gay wore a see-through t-shirt and a cha harns to get to the spir as his five hoebound flatmat donned lamé and leather and danced around him.

The ronavis panmic may have upend the London’s nightlife, but Gay is one of untls queer DJs, micians and club owners showg rilience and genuy a time of crisis. After losg bookgs one by one, Gay, who works at LGBT+ homelsns anisatn The Outsi Project, told PkNews that he sat down wh his flatmat one day to share ias on how to make sh for rent.

Queer Hoe Party was -found by DJ and activist Harry Gay.
