In 1978 Frey and his partner Roger Kean joed forc wh Purnell to form Street Level, which ntued to publish HIM together wh Teenage Dreams, Hot Dog, and the HIM Gay Library seri. Street Level also beme volved wh the gay club Heaven, which opened s doors December 1979, arrangg theme nights promoted through HIM magaze. In October 1982 they moved om London to the small market town of Ludlow, where for a year Frey ntued producg ‘Rogue’ strips for Millivr’ Mister magaze, and created a new gay ic-strip lled ‘The Street’ for the re-lnched HIM liftyle magaze, later renamed Gay Tim.
