While New York held the very first pri march on June 28, 1970, later that same day, L.A. held the "<a href=" target="_blank">world’s first permted para advotg for gay rights</a>," a fact Christopher Street Wt still highlights on s webse to this day.</p><p class="">Miss Shalae, a Beyoncé impersonator who performed at the march, said that when she first moved to Los Angel, she uldn't persua whe-owned LGBTQ bars and clubs to book her for performanc. We have been, you know, we always try to do the right thg. We sometim don't do well."</p><p class="">For some, the new march and the anizatn's apology were too ltle too late.</p><p class="">Ashlee Marie Prton, a Black trans wrer and former CSW board member, cid she wouldn't attend. "What ma me so trated about all of this is that I have direct relatnships wh people on the board," Prton said. "It's this ia that savrism is solidary. ...
