Canal Street ns along the Rochdale Canal wh a range of bars and rtrants and although hugely signifint there are other areas the village cludg Bloom Street, Richmond Street and Sackville Garns where there is a monument to Alan Turg who was a founr of morn putg who was treated humanely for beg gay. I have been visg the gay village sce late 1980’s and has always been a great place to vis, is pecially nice the summer months. This village looks like a ton a gays have ogs and ollic happily. Vised July 2021Travelled wh iendsWrten 19 July 2021Most heterophobic and xenophobic bouncers I’ve ever I uld rate 0 I would, tried to get to this bar many tim and they e up wh a different exce every time ’s jt blatant that if you don’t look gay enough they don’t let you and everyone I’ve spoke to about says the same, also heard that they’re racist as hell and if you give them even a ltle lip about beg turned away they rad to the other bars on the nal and you n’t get anywhere. We go to enter Gays bar and the bouncer refed entry bee we weren't gay.
