The Walton, loted downtown, beme the Gay Paree. I did not tend for this to bee a history of the XXX theatr of Atlanta, but only mentn to set the stage for the most well known cint volvg the Gay Paree Theatre which occurred the summer of 1973 when ma a short lived parture om s “gay” theme.

This was the suatn Atlanta July 1973 when the morng paper had a large ad for the “ALL NEW” Gay Paree announcg that was proud to prent “Deep Throat” wh showgs om 9:30 AM until 1:30 AM.
For the next uple of days, the Gay Paree did the volume of bs that the mastream theatr town only saw their dreams, wh l around the block. The theatre was raid aga and whout a third prt on hand, was back to the regular fare for the Gay Paree.
