One would have thought that Marv thought enough of his magnum op "What's Gog On" or his relatnship wh the late Tammi Terrell to not siarly also subject them to the execrable "nnsed" versns we get for the dividual tracks on show, "Let's Get It On" gets an embarrassgly "lights-down-low" epilogue which is so unrpowered he has to tell the crowd when he's fished, "Trouble Man" pletely lacks the edge of the origal, while "Distant Lover" a good but not great track likewise gets dragged out to allow Marv to dulge his "love man" only remptn the form of his new h track "Got To Give It Up", another of his timely classic sgl, here extend to nearly 12 mut on si 4, no doubt to acmodate the burgeong 12" Dis sgle brilliant as is, jt n't distract me om the slick, homogenised fare of the ma body of the album.
Marv Gaye's send live album wh his rebirth perd of the 70' productn is slick, the ver art is on pot, and the tun are rehearsed greatt hs are performed, along wh a few tun om the newly released I Want You, and a super extend stud h of "Got to Give It Up" is seems to make for a five star review would seem, but stead what we have si is a manufactured revue… like a nostalgia hns, gr, and dirt of the tun are pletely gone favor of fancy arrangements. Another cent live album om Marv Gaye, although really not much more.
There really isn't much difference between this and _Marv Gaye Live_ except that this is a double LP, and ntas the si-long stud cut "Got to Give Up". For Marv Gaye is is jt one out of many. Reviewed the Uned Stat on Febary 12, 2009Marv Gaye had more talent and soul than most sgers uld hope to have.

That element mak one feel like Marv was a ltle like a Vegas act, but the mic and Gaye's effortls vols show how nnected he was wh the mic and able to weave his way CD has some good ler not which will give the dience some sight to Marv's suatn at the time.
