Another cent live album om Marv Gaye, although really not much more.

There really isn't much difference between this and _Marv Gaye Live_ except that this is a double LP, and ntas the si-long stud cut "Got to Give Up".

I would remend this highlight of the Marv Gaye story to any te lover of his mic, pecially the add bon of the ten mute versn of "Gotta Give Up" that was a filler, and beme the most regnized rerdg ever released. Reviewed Japan on June 21, 2003　これより前に出た1974年の"Marv Gaye Live"はまさに彼の絶頂期を捉えた熱狂と歓喜に満ちたライブアルバムだったが、今作はもっと細やかでデリケートなショーだ。　このライブはアルバム1976年に出た"I Want You"のプロモートツアーを録音したものである。音色も"I Want You"に似て上品、同アルバム収録曲を含む①、②、③は極上のスムースさとメロディーを持っている。ぜひ聴いて欲しい。他の曲もみんなが知っているヒットパレードである。こういう繊細な音作りでは⑦、⑨のような初期の曲が断然に輝きを増す。モータウンらしかった頃のマーヴィン好きにはたまらないはずだ。　そしてこのアルバム唯一のスタジオテイクの⑬もこのアルバムの目玉だ。彼のファンクでは最高の出来で、実際とてもヒットしたそうだ。　その上、今回再発されたこのアルバムには以前出た同CDには含まれなかった"I Want You"が追加収録（さわりだけしか演奏していないが）されていて、以前にこのライブアルバムを買った人には少々罪つくりですらある。(嬉しくもあるのだけれど）。　ちなみにこのライブはビデオでも出ているので興味のある方は探してみては？とても良いビデオです。　近頃80年代のライブ音源がかなり発掘されＣＤ化されているマーヴィン・ゲイだが、７０年代後期の音源が出てくることを望んでやまない。.
