The LGBT Chamber of Commerce of Illois, formerly the Chigo Area Gay and Lbian Chamber of Commerce, was tablished 1995 to tablish a small bs associatn that specifilly served the needs of the LGBTQ+ bs muny. Saw a need for a lol chamber of merce dited to gay and lbian owned bs.

Joed by three other bs owners, they lnched the Chigo Area Gay & Lbian Chamber of Commerce. The members are lbian, gay, bisexual, and transgenr (LGBT) bs owners, as well as gay-supportive bs. Sce gay and lbian tourism brgs an timated $300 ln a year to Chigo, ’s no surprise that the cy has disvered the viabily of supportg the LGBT muny.

Currently, a portn of the Chamber’s fundg om the cy ernment which is a far cry om the days when the cy of Chigo sought to close gay and lbian owned bs.

This Uptown spot featur a relatively mixed-genr clientele ( the scheme of gay bars). Wh no distguishg signage outsi, this unmarked dive is much more discreet than s very gay clientele is. Sitrack is generally herald as the kg of Chigo gay bars, and not for no reason: the sprawlg plex featur five different bars year-round.
