On October 22, a rally was held on the steps of Parliament Hoe to prott over laws discrimatg agast gay men Wtern Atralia and to persua Parliament that the Bill should be passed.

After a seri of meetgs at the begng of 2993, a public meetg May, endorsed a nstutn for Pri and elected 12 people to the Lbian and Gay Pri Commtee. Fundg rounds for 1996 saw a total of $31, 000 returned to the lbian and gay muny the form of grants for a number of projects. The Pri Commtee dited the Para to a 21-year-old gay man, Matthew Shepard om Wyomg USA, who had been btally bashed and left for ad, passg away whg Pri month on October 12.

1999 saw Pri celebrate a 10-year-Odyssey for Wtern Atralia’s lbian and gay muny. 2002 saw the passg of Atralia’s most prehensive lbian and gay law reforms by the Wtern Atralian Parliament. 2SLGBTQIA+ (TwoSpir, Lbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgenr, Queer, Intersex, Asexual) people have always existed, Perth, Lanark County, and across the globe.
