It is a rult of this discrimatn and stigmatizatn of homosexuals that exist the tn system and workplace, why Sean Macleish, the director of Caribbean Alliance for Equaly, advoted to CARICOM for the LGBTQ muny statg that when societi enact laws that prevent productive people om fully participatg the workforce, enomi suffer. Further negative rpons to the lg clud mpaigns n by nservatnist groups such as the ‘T&T Cse, ’ who have publicly proclaimed their opposn of the lg, statg that “Same-sex marriage is a ncer, ” as their members were of the belief that the lg to crimalize the buggery law would eventually lead to the legalisatn of gay marriage (Sgh 2018).
