Given the revelatn of his sexualy later the film, ’s reasonable to wonr whether shame and ternalized homophobia played a role Lomper’s suici attempt.
They experience no blowback or homophobia that we’re shown. While I thk ’s safe to assume that men gettg their k off is part of The Full Monty’s appeal for gay dienc, there is somethg fundamentally not-gay about the film’s approach to pictg the male body—and ’s not jt the fact that looks away when the characters fally liver on the film’s tle.
