In May 2006 Moyl was acced of homophobia, when he rejected a rgtone by sayg "I don't want that one, 's gay", live on air. This led to a number of plats to the BBC, [1] argug that the e of the word gay this ntext was homophobic. The Programme Complats Commtee said that, "The word 'gay', addn to beg ed to mean 'homosexual' or 'reee', was often now ed to mean 'lame' or 'bbish'.
