Season 3, Episo 1 - 'Gay Wch Hunt'Perhaps one of the harst episos to watch is the Season 3 opener, which Michael lls Osr (Osr Nunez) "f**gy" for preferrg Shakpeare Love to Die jtify the e of the offensive term, Michael then go on a warpath, fendg his choice of words, before liverg a non-apology to Osr and outg him as then spreads around the office, wh Osr's skmate Kev (Brian Bmgartner) sniggerg about the revelatn and Angela (Angela Ksey) proceedg to make homophobic ments and potedly g hand sanizer after Osr returns to his sk.

But the show’s first season has proven to be far more than a funny s — ’s a spot-on portrayal of lennial gay life, thanks to s characterizatn of one of the tular Two: 28-year-old Carey Dubek (Drew Tarver), a stgglg actor and part-time was a scene durg this season’s fourth episo, when Carey fally mters the strength to ll thgs off wh his credibly attractive but “vlently straight” roommate, Matt, that I fully fell for this show. And though Matt’s willgns to ocsnally make out wh Carey for a few sends at a time did update the stereotype a b, I uldn’t help but feel slightly trated wh the show’s cisn to play to such a hackneyed ncept — gay guy falls for straight du. Can’t our gay protagonist be given a real romantic tert?
It was brilliantly when to satirizg gay life, much of the show is. No other seri n make a nng gag about Andy Cohen’s penchant for hirg every gay man he meets to be a shirtls bartenr on Watch What Happens Live! Would any other show airg today even try to parody the fetishizatn of queer muni by makg Carey an overnight ter celebry after his brother releas a sgle lled “My Brother’s Gay and That’s Okay?
