While the challeng of intifyg and ntactg youth experiencg homelsns make difficult to tablish the exact prevalence of LGBTQ youth homelsns, is timated that lbian, gay, and bisexual (LGB) youth make up 7-9% of the general populatn (Wilson, Cooper, Kastanis, & Nezhad, 2014) but 29% of youth experiencg homelsns (Choi et al., 2015). 1 It is important to note that due to a failure to llect nuanced sexual orientatn and genr inty data many large-sle surveys, much of the prev rearch on LGBTQ youth actually only vers those who are lbian, gay, or bisexual.
