I went to the Gay Christian Network’s “Live It Out” nference Chigo a ltle unsure of what to expect, a ltle perplexed that someone like me would be ved, and a ltle eaked out about what to say as a straight woman to a group of gay, lbian, bisexual, and transgenr Christians—many of whom have been severely wound by the Church.

I met gay Christians who felt pelled by Scripture and tradn to m their liv to celibacy (Si B) and gay Christians who felt fee Christ to pursue same-sex relatnships (Si A).

From the brave mom who, chokg down tears, told that before this weekend she had been ashamed of her son, aaid to tell her Christian iends and fay that he was gay. From the nservative pastor who ed to be an apologist agast homosexualy, but whose iendship wh a lbian woman slowly, over many years, changed his md. I’m gay.
