Marv Gaye embarked on his solo reer 1962, havg already played dms for Smokey Robson and the Miracl, as well as other Motown acts. That was when everyone at Motown pched to do a ltle of everythg: Martha Reev and the Vanllas, for example, ntributed backup vols to Gaye’s chart but, “Stubborn Kd of Fellow, ” which reached the R&B Top Ten late 1962. In November of that year, Gaye set off on Motown’s first package tour, the Motortown Revue, which also featured the Suprem, Mary Wells and Ltle Stevie Wonr.
