The Gay Men's Chos of San Diego currently has around 75 members, operatg unr the unbrella of Ft Cy Performg Arts, Inc. The group was found October 1992 by 11 members of the San Diego Men's Chos who wanted to sg a self-intified "gay" chos.
HISTORY OF THE SAN DIEGO GAY MEN’S CHOS
Wh the first year, the membership tripled to over 30 sgers, and San Diego's newly elected mayor, San Goldg, ved the new gay chos to be the openg entertament at her gala celebratn guratn.
That performance took place at the Universy Christian Church, a new venue for the Chos, which self reprented a breakthrough for the gay muny. In late 2009, the 17 year-old Gay Men’s Chos of San Diego merged wh the 25 year-old San Diego Men’s Chos, to form the San Diego Gay Men's Chos.
