In Cheryl Hopks’ article, “Celebrate: Gay ftival offers full menu of events[3], ” she refers to the negative ments about the para, sayg “we are not really surprised at the vehement opposn of some of [them]. ” The most vol opposn to the para me om a group of church lled “Church for Christian Fay Valu, ” who took out a full page ad on June 7th, 1996 to nounce the para and homosexualy general.

Before anizg the 2011 pri para, they raised money by hostg “Gay Bgo” nights downtown.
