One four LGBT people (27 per cent) have experienced healthre staff havg a lack of unrstandg of specific lbian, gay and bi health needs. We provi rmatn and emotnal support to the entire diversy of the lbian, gay, bisexual and transgenr (LGBT) muny across Stland, cludg queer, tersex, asexual people and all inti unr the LGBTQIA+ umbrella. The prehensive asssment was unrtaken to better addrs gaps knowledge about the health and wellbeg of LGBT+ patient groups, to better rm approach to public health for LGBT+ people, across seven groups: lbian and gay women, gay men, bisexual women, bisexual men, trans women, trans men (trans mascule) and non-bary people across the Greater Glasgow & Cly and Lothian areas.
Gay men and gay/lbian women were the most likely to rate their health posively, while trans mascule and non-bary people were the least likely.
