AbstractHomelsns among the young lbian, gay, bisexual and trans* (LGBT+) populatn is beg an creasg societal ncern, wh alarmist reportg of high rat of homelsns pared to heterosexual people. As a rult, rather than unrstandg our participants as passive victims of a homophobic or transphobic society, we foc on their agency velopg a queer inty alongsi their experienc of secure acmodatn. There were also perceptns that relig anisatns were more likely to be homophobic or biphobicTrans and non-bary young people faced addnal barriers to accsg shelters and acmodatnTrans young people faced prejudice om service ers and felt that staff were not always equipped to rpond.
