Jonathan Foulds: As someone who don't really dance or equent gay bars, I loved this place. They were surprised that there wasn’t a gay square dance club the Atlanta area. Sure, there were plenty of square dance clubs listed wh the Metro Atlanta Square Dancers Associatn, but none that were dancg "all posn" at all levels or the high energy dance style typil of gay square dance clubs around the untry.
It was so much fun, and the club Baltimore was so enuragg, that he returned to Atlanta termed to get a club started for the gay and lbian muny. Wh lots of help and enuragement om the Internatnal Associatn of Gay Square Dance Clubs, "southern sister clubs" like the Rocket Cy Rabow Squar, the Raleighwood Squar and the Magic Cy Diamonds, and the lol Atlanta club, the Cali Swgers, the Hotlanta Squar began. In April 2001, at the Internatnal Associatn of Gay Square Dance Clubs (IAGSDC®) Natnal Conventn Vanuver, BC, the Hotlanta Square's petn for membership was accepted by the Executive Board.
