I remember what the exact day was, I signed the papers and my son says ‘Hey dad, there is someone the kchen eatg my cereal.’ I’m like ‘What?’ And then he says ‘Yeah he is livg here, get ed to .’ I’m thkg what is gog on? I had no ia there was someone like that and boom he is livg there, the kids had never met him. That was when I was like you know what, is time to move on. It’s like if you are a fan of the UFC and you know all of the holds and all of the techniqu that Joe Rogan is llg out the middle of the UFC match. For me, when I heard Gordon Sully or Jim Ross ll out the headlock takeovers, Irish whips, arm drags… It was easy bee I knew everythg that they were talkg about. So when I started trag, I knew some of the stuff bee I was a fan. I knew some of the mov already, bee I started practicg at my parents. We didn’t have a rg, but we stroyed a lot of kg size bed am. I uld do dropkicks, suplex and bodyslams, so was an easier transn, pecially when you add the work ethic of an amatr wrtler.” On the ath of his younger brother Rs Haas 2001: “It stroyed me. I didn’t know how to survive that and I didn’t know what WWE would do. They signed the Haas brothers, not Charlie Haas. But thank God that Jim Ross saw that we uld still do this wh Charlie and Shelton, and Arn Anrson said ‘Let me take Charlie and Shelton and let me see what I n do wh them.’ We basilly jt travelled wh Arn, he put the rg prr to the hoe show match and the dark match, and he tght everythg he knew. His heart was to as much as ours was, and that was when I knew that someone really red, he really put everythg to . Shelton was a guy who I found as a partner jt like my brother, he is my brother and jt worked.
