Support for Young People to Explore Their Sexualy and/or Genr Inty GYRO What is GYRO? GYRO are award wng LGBTQ+ youth groups for children & young people aged 12-25 years, who may be explorg sexualy and/or genr inty. GYRO has existed some form sce 1976 makg one of the olst LGBTQ+ youth provisns the untry (as far as we n see). We have a group for sendary school age 12-16 years old. Every Tuday- 4.30pm-6pm. We have a group for llege age and up for 16-25 years old. Every Thursday- 6pm-7.30pm. About GYRO GYRO offers age appropriate youth groups for children and young people aged 12-25 years old, who are explorg sexualy or genr inty, or intify as Lbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgenr, Queer or (+) another part of the rabow fay. There are opportuni to take part fun activi our weekly drop- as well as learn about our wonrful diverse muny age appropriate ways or go on trips out or partner wh lol artists, performers or anisatns to provi unique bpoke activi for our muny. Some people that attend are quiet and arty and some are lour and performance md, all personali wele! How will this service help me? We know our groups n help you grow nfince, self-teem, self-acceptance, unrstandg of diversy and difference, bee passnate about your muny, feel safe and rpected. You n make new iends, learn new thgs, try new experienc and activi signed to be clive of your inty. Attendg an LGBTQ+ youth group like GYRO is a great way to feel ls isolated, make new iends wh siar inti and grow your self-acceptance and nfince. The harst part is g through the door! We know this n be sry but a member of staff will be there to wele you and take you to a nfintial space to register wh and give you a chance to ask qutns.   THE Actn Youth THE* (Trans Health Edutn) Actn Youth group project is aimed at young people aged 12-18 who intify as trans or genr non-nformg, whose genr inty do not match wh the one given to them om birth, or young people who are qutng their genr inty. Who is THE Actn Youth for? Anyone aged 10-25 whose genr inty is different to how others see , or is qutng their genr inty. This uld be someone whose genr inty do not match their blogil sex.  What is THE Actn Youth? ‘THE’ stands for Trans* Health Edutn.  This group is specifilly foced on genr inty which enabl young people to realise that they are not the only on who feel this way. It n also provi you wh specific and relevant rmatn to meet your needs. THE Actn Youth provis a safe space to exprs and explore yourself an unrstandg and acceptg environment. You will be surround by like-md people who are willg to share their experienc and provi peer support.
