    Rsia’s hostg of the 2014 Wter Olympics has brought a spotlight not only on Rsia’s harsh anti-gay laws, but also the treatment of LGBT people everywhere. Gay, lbian or bisexual people are 10 tim more likely to experience discrimatn based on sexual orientatn than heterosexual people. Once the workplace, 42 percent of LGBT adults experience workplace discrimatn; the rate for openly gay adults is four tim that of workers whose sexualy was hidn.

    One study found that stat whout discrimatory laws, gay men who wanted to raise children had greater self-teem and fewer symptoms of prsn than gay men who did not plan on children. But for those stat where discrimatn was wrten to marriage and adoptn laws, gay men who wanted to raise children had lower self-teem and more prsive symptoms than gay men who did not want to raise children.
