Fort Gay High School was tablished 1929 to serve the tnal needs of a growg populatn the small town. It was origally named Butler District High School before beg renamed 1933. The current buildg was nstcted 1931 the popular Bex-Arts style. Declg enrollment ed the high school to be closed 1987 and nsolidated wh Cm High School to Tolsia High School. The buildg remas standg and is the only origal high school the unty that retas much of s historic archectural tegry. It was add to the Natnal Register of Historic Plac 2017.
