“It’s a big party, ’s a big ftival, ” says Mark Boyd, public relatns director for the Arizona Gay Roo Associatn (AGRA).
“All the other events are standard events like you’d see at any other profsnal roo, ” Boyd says, and clu petors who are gay and transgenr. However, “Saturday is the biggt day for entertament, ” Boyd says, featurg the Phoenix Gay Men’s Chos, Mr. Phoenix Gay Pri, Tucson Takeover, Ne Lns Dragon Dance, Indigeno Enterprise, Banda La Llegadora, celebry impersonators, and more startg at 11 a.
Both days will feature royalty om AGRA and the Internatnal Gay Roo Associatn (IGRA). And everythg is for a good e: The Arizona Gay Roo is n by volunteers and rais money for LGBTQ chari the muny — everythg om the Phoenix Gay Men’s Chos to sports mentorg for LGBTQ athlet. One of the ma sponsors, Charlie’s Phoenix — the inic gay bar that opened 1984 — is owned by John Kg, a founr of AGRA.
