Slightly over one third (36%) scribe themselv as gay or lbian, and 15% as transgenr. Far more men intify as gay (722, 000) than women as lbian (257, 000).
Among LGBT young adults, the vast majory (68%) scribe themselv as bisexual, 27% gay or lbian, and 14% as transgenr; 5% intify as transgenr but not as lbian, gay, or bisexual.
