But … when we left the bar, the San Francis Police Department was wag outsi wh paddy wagons and arrtg Black gay people who were standg around talkg, tryg to exchange numbers. ’ And almost unison we all said, ‘Bee 's a racist gay bar. I always knew that there weren't any Black-owned gay bars San Francis.
My brothers always knew that I was gay and I never tried to hi , but they got a lot closer and unrstood every aspect of beg gay. They beme iends wh other gay ctomers and so forth, and they weren't gay.
We had women DJs, which they didn't have at that time any of the gay bars.
