Why when a gay person hs on a straight person, ’s a big nflict. A more rpectful way to handle the suatn is to simply say, “Sorry, I’m not terted, ” or “I’m flattered, but I’m not gay. Anyone — straight or gay — should always be treated wh rpect, pecially when beg turned down.
Straight people who fear that other people may thk they’re gay need to know that ’s not an sult to be thought of as gay, and people don’t need to feel threatened or embarrassed or overly fensive to try to “prove” that they’re not gay.
In our society there’s a tremendo amount of fear and hatred of people who are gay, lbian, or bisexual.
