Playa l Ingl self is a gay hotspot for many gay sgl and upl who want to be open about sexualy and there are several plac the area that offer the chance to do so. From 7pm onwards the centre tak on a pletly different look as themany gay bars and clubs start to open their doors.

The nightlife wh The Yumbo is based around the gay scene but many of the bars are equented by anyone gay or staight who jt want a que night out not beg harassed as happens the other centre such as Kasba, Plaza and Metro, by the many touts tryg to get you to the bars. Me and 2 mat ( 3 lads total) are thkg of havg a week Gran Canaria September and we have been told Playa l Ingl is a gay rort.

PLAYA L INGL: GAY NIGHTLIFE

Stay near the Kasbah and you will wonr what idt told you was a gay rort. As other posters have said is only the Yumbo that is gay orientated and not until after midnight if you stay at a hotel or apartment plex near to the Yumbo you will fd a higher proportn of gay guts.

I go several tim a year and although gay myself, I like the fact that is so mixed terms of the typ and natnali that go there. Obvly gets a b edgier later on and you'd probably gravate to the Kasbah but don't let anythg put you off, some great bars about PDI whether they are supposed gay or not.

EXTRAORDARY GAY NUDIST RORT - TROPIL LA ZONA

I am aware that Playa l Ingl is a popular holiday statn for lbian/gay tourists.

I have nsired PDI the past but jt wonred how big the gay scene is there.

The hub up the gay scene there is and around the Yumbo mercial centre but there around another 12 or so mercial centr around the rort. There are large numbers of gay holidaymakers pecially for the "Gay Pri" week which is ually May.

IS PDI MALY FOR LBIAN/GAY TOURISTS? - PLAYA L INGL FOM

The first time my girliend and I went to Gran Canaria back January 2009 we weren't actually aware of the gay scene on the rort so as we wanred to the Yumbo centre for a few drks at night you n image our surprise, shock, whatever you want to ll as there were lots of gay men and women around, you do see some sights!

After our ial surprise we found all the bars hetero iendly and we had a great time havg a lgh wh var hetero, gay and lbian people, to the pot we went back a uple of more tim jt for the atmosphere.

Y the Yumbo is geared to LGBT at night - but - you wont see anythg unls you go si the Gay bars. Brandn, kle stylisch Gay-Hotel m gchmackvoller und qualativ hochwertiger Erichtung, privaten Terrassen und Pool.

The nudist beach is at Number 6 ksk and the gay beach is at number 7 ksk. Most gays will have obtaed acmodatn near to eher the Yumbo centre or the Ca centre, there fore walk down the ma drag Avda. The ma track, the blue route, headg toward the dun also leads towards the gay beach loted at bar.

The gay nightlife gay Playa l Ingl starts out much later than the UK and go throughout the night to around 5am weekdays and 6am. Most gay tourists will eher eat there hotel if on half board, or one of the gay or straight rtrants if on a self terg holiday. The very early drkers will head to the gay bars and pubs at around 8pm, but most people start around 10.

Detox Retox is a betiful gay bar, morn yet fortable, where the “” crowd e to meet iends, nicely. The Nilo centre is loted at the back of the rort on the oppose si of the Autopista ma road to the gay edly Hotel Eugenia Victoria. Maly has rmatn about the Yumbo centre but also vers the Gran Canaria gay scene.

Well, Playa l Inglés is the iendlit gay place Gran Canaria, but do not mean everythg is about beg gay or dog 'gay thgs'.

If you stay a RIU or a 'Fay Hotel', you n see gays as well, but you n see them as well a 4*/5* hotel London, Paris or Dubai, but 90% (if not more) of the clients will be fai or straight upl.... There is a shoppg center Playa l Inglés lled Yumbo which durg the day 'till afternoon is a fay shoppg center, at night turns to be a b 'more gay', wh gay diss and drag shows (Most of them wh a lot of straight upl enjoyg the shows). I'm aware of there beg gay-only plex and unrstood the Yumbo Centre turned to a scene more for gays of an eveng.

I'm not homophobic by any means, but I don't really want to be surround by while I'm wh my fay. Its a great place and very diverse (Black, Gay, Whe, Straight, Bi, etc... My wife and I have been gog to Maspalomas for many years - 15 ish - are not gay.
