In 1985, we changed our name to the Silin Valley Gay Men’s Chos, embracg and more openly intifyg ourselv as a sgg group ma up of out, gay, and proud men. Silin Valley Gay Men’s Chos has also ma numero appearanc throughout Silin Valley and the greater Bay Area, cludg performanc at Silin Valley, Santa Cz, and San Francis Pri events and ftivals. And SVGMC is proud to have performed at the 1995 Lambda Youth Gay Prom—the first high school prom held the Bay Area (Hayward, CA).

Some ton SVGMC’s outreach efforts and learship the muny clus work wh the Gay Straight Alliance and their anti-bullyg program, and participatn Givg Tree holiday ncerts and food driv for the Send Harvt Food Bank of Silin Valley. Silin Valley Gay Men’s Chos is the proud recipient of a Human Relatns Award om Santa Clara County and a Commendatn om the Cy of San Jose.
